Matthew Burt provides a comprehensive, enthusiastic, helpful and imaginative design-and-make service.

Established for 30 years, our team has enormous experience in working with wood, incorporating glass, metal, plastics, light and other materials where appropriate. Matthew’s designs are realised by the highly skilled craftsmen in our ‘mother’ workshop and, when appropriate, we also work with satellite woodworking workshops, several of which are run by makers who have either been trained by us or have worked with us in our workshop over
the years.

We are very proud of our apprentices who, like any serious professionals, undergo a six-year training to emerge as excellent makers. We have forged relationships with a broad range of complementary craftspeople, specialist engineers and makers from other disciplines that we draw upon as necessary.
