An eight-metre wide room on a very subtle curve required storage and shelving. The unabashed modernity of the building required a similar response in its furniture.

Having made all the horizontals and limed them, the vertical storage cabinets were then burnt just enough to impart the qualities that scorching brings to oak and to give a bold contrast with the limed surfaces.
