Designed and made to celebrate the completion of Ian Boon's apprenticeship with Matthew.

The bog oak used was carbon dated and found to be about 4,200 years old. The timber's colouring from jet black through many lighter shades of brown depends on where and in what type of saturated subsoil the trees have lain throughout
the years.
