The tops of these boxes have been made from an extraordinarily rare tree - a burr tiger oak that grew on Lord Vestey’s estate in Gloucestershire. It obviously endured over many centuries which shows in its convoluted tortured growth patterns. The pivot lids open to reveal a cedar of Lebanon bottom imparting a sweet fragrance.
