We are mightily pleased and proud to be part of the winning team for the Wood Awards 2014. The project to design and make oak furniture for the new Dickson Poon Centre, St Hugh's, Oxford was a collaboration in all the best senses. Tony Portus and Ross Fenn of Makers' Eye won the commission and managed the project. Under the umbrella of Makers' Eye, Simon Pirie and Tony designed a collection of five separate product families, totalling 178 pieces, before moving on to the making stage where ourselves, Simon Pirie, Waywood and Timothy Hawkins were responsible for the making, with oak supplied by Tyler Hardwoods. As the judges remarked "the collaborative team of workshops has supplied outstanding quality."
